Many of the Carolina in the Fall festival attendees are dedicated Kruger Brothers fans. Although the Kruger Brothers perform on stage at different times throughout the festival, a time for a full length Kruger Brother concert was not available in the already packed festival schedule for the 2003 festival.

Therefore, the Carolina in the Fall planning committee decided to expand the festival to include Friday night and create Producer's Night for the 2004 festival. Producer's Night was so well received that it has been a permanent part of the festival schedule since then.

Plan to join us for Producer's Night, a full-length Kruger Brothers concert on Friday, September 25, 2009. The Kruger Brothers will perform many of Robert's favorites and everyone will enjoy the amazing variety of the selections. It has become a festival tradition for a band to open the festival prior to the Kruger Brothers concert on Producer's Night. For 2009, Maynard Holbook will open the festival as a tribute to Robert Shepherd. Maynard and Robert have been friends for over thirty years and have spent a lot of time at festivals, concerts, vacations and parties. They have been on countless trips together over the years and have enjoyed many celebrations as their children have grown up together. They share a love of music, so it will be a great for Maynard to honor Robert on Producer's Night. Music starts at 6pm - be sure to be there!
