It's a .........Celebration

The Carolina in the Fall Festival introduced a new format at the 2006 festival...a CELEBRATION. The format included an extremely fluid stage schedule, with The Kruger Brothers performing with a diverse group of talented musician friends throughout the festival. Just as we promised, nothing was "planned" and we never knew what would happen next, but the result was magical.

Based on the response from musicians and attendees, the CELEBRATION format and atmosphere is here to stay. The basic premise of the very first festival was to expand the congenial atmosphere of the many nights that The Kruger Brothers played wonderful music and held impromptu jams in the basement of the Shepherd Home. In keeping with that initial festival goal, the festival schedule will, once again, be more relaxed and fluid this year.

The Kruger Brothers have asked musician friends to join them at the Seventh Annual Carolina in the Fall Festival. The Kruger Brothers, as Musical Hosts, will feature many friends during the festival including Maynard Holbrook, Lody van Vlodrop, Andy Owens, Si Kahn, Laura Boosinger, and many more. BackPorch Bluegrass, Spirit Fiddle, The Johnson Family, and The Snyder Family (all favorites of the Shepherds) will also perform. The Kruger Brothers will enjoy visiting with fans, friends, and family and enjoying the CELEBRATION atmosphere during stage breaks.

Friday night, Producer's Night in Honor of Robert Shepherd, has always been well-received and will continue as a concert length performance by The Kruger Brothers and other special guests.

On Friday, September 25, 2009, the gates open at 5pm and the music starts at 6pm.

On Saturday, September 26, 2009, the gates open at 9am, with the North Carolina Banjo Championship starting at 10am with the festival schedule to follow.

On Sunday, September 27, 2009, the gates open at 9am and the music starts at 10am with a special gospel set.

Times of gate openings and music are subject to change.
